DAY 01
…………LIMA (L)
Reception at the airport, transfer to selected Hotel. Transfer to Rosa Nautica Restaurant. In the afternoon city tour in Colonial Lima, private services, this visit includes the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral and its museum, the San Francisco Convent and its catacombs, the San Martin Plaza, the Osambela Residence and the Santo Domingo Church. Transfer back to Jose Antonio Hotel or similar.

Visit the community of Codo del Pozuzo and introduce yourself in the Kids Forests. A marvelous place in the Amazon jungle, located in the Pozuzo River. A place where the kids learn how to use and take care of their natural resources. The kids Forest is an extension of land that the adults legally donate to the kids so that they manage in a sustainable way and in the process develop their abilities, knowledge and values, following the principles of truth, love and life.
Codo del Pozuzo Kids Forest provides the tourists a unique experience to see how the community lives and to be able to enter this magical world of the kids. Let yourself be guide by the same kids, who will teach you to fish, make arts crafts and will tell you all the secrets of the fauna and flora of the jungle.

DAY 02
LIMA – OXAPAMPA (B)
Early Breakfast. Board a van that will drive you through the coast, the Andes range and into the jungle. An 8 hour trip that will leave Lima at around 8:30am and at around 11:00am you will be passing-by the highest paved road in the world (16,000 ft) after this point everything is down the hill. The geography will change many times during this trip and each of them is a different experience. Lunch will be held at La Merced and after this the road will end being paved to turn into a dirt road, this road will take you to the town of Oxapampa, the only area in the world inhabited by Austrian and German colonist. The road goes at the middle of a mountain covered with trees, by this time you’ll already be at the high tropical rain forest. Upon arrival to the town of Oxapampa we will go to the hotel to rest and then out for dinner in this very peculiar town.
For those enthusiasts a visit to the local bar “The Cheyenne Bar “can also be very interesting.

DAY 03
OXAPAMPA – POZUZO – CODO DEL POZUZO KIDS FOREST (B, L & D)
Early breakfast at the hotel and board the van for a 2 hour trip to the town of Pozuzo. A very peculiar town inhabited by the same colonist. This is the kind of place that no one can tell you about, you have to see it for yourself.
After a quick visit to the town we go to the local airport to board the Cessna 4 passenger plane for 15” to down the valley and into the Amazon jungle to the town of Codo del Pozuzo. Upon arrival we go to the house that will accommodate us for the next few days. After lunch and a good rest we will go to meet with the local school teacher that will explain us how the Kids Forest works and helps the local community kids.

DAY 04
CODO DEL POZUZO KIDS FOREST (B, L & D)
Early Breakfast. Today we go with the local kids to the kid’s forest to learn about their activities in the forest, the trees, flora and fauna that they consider should be preserved in their BONI, which means Bosque de los Niños or Kids Forest. After lunch we stay with the kids to play and hear their stories and points of view of their jungle and life.

DAY 05
CODO DEL POZUZO – OXYGEN FACTORY PROJECT (B, L & D)
Early Breakfast. Transfer by van to the local port, aprox. 45 minutes to board the Oxygen Factory boat, the trip along the Pozuzo River with the guides and project managers will be a fantastic experience. Upon arrival to the first forestation area we will start a 2 km walk to the plantation. This will take some time and it should get hot but don’t worry, lots of water will be provided. It is recommended to bring lots of mosquito repellent; boots will be provided by the project and are mandatory to walk with in this area. After this trek we go back to the boat not without first jumping into the river for one of the most refreshing baths ever in your life. Aboard the boat again for 20 minutes to arrive to the Project’s Headquarter where you will be able to get a nice bath, change you clothes and enjoy a great dinner.

DAY 06
OXYGEN FACTORY PROJECT – PTO MAYRO (B, L & D)
If you like fishing this is the chance to do it in the jungle. Fish here are as everything else in the jungle, fast, difficult, and very alert. Wake up very early, board the boat and go fishing for one or two hours. After this back to the house for breakfast and the board the boat to go to one of the project hidden spots, a small secret waterfall. After a 30” trek inside the jungle, where you will be able to take the most incredible pictures, we will arrive to this waterfall, we will have a snack here and swim for a while. After this back to the boat and visit the second forestation area near the Mayro Port. Upon arrival to the port we will go to Charlie’s store and enjoy a very cold Cristal Beer. When its time we will head back to the house for our last night at the house. We will have a great barbeque and enjoy life at its most relaxing moment.

DAY 07
OXYGEN FACTORY PROJECT – CODO DEL POZUZO - OXAPAMPA (B)
Early Breakfast. Pack our stuff and go up the river to the port where will take the van back ad back to the BONI Kid’s Forests to meet the kids for the last time. After these we will take turns to fly the plane back to Pozuzo where the van will wait for us to take us back to Oxapampa. Upon arrival to Oxapampa we will rest at the hotel, maybe take a sauna and relax. After dinner we say good by to the jungle at The Cheyenne Bar.

DAY 08
OXAPAMPA - LIMA (B)
Breakfast.Trip back to Lima. Arrival to Lima will be at around 6pm. Transfer to Jose Antonio Hotel.

Tonight and as a farewell dinner I recommend the Astrid & Gaston Restaurant, the chef Gaston Acurio is considered the best chef in Peru.

DAY 09
LIMA...........(B)
Transfer to the airport and coordination for intl. flight
